Care Packages!

Two posts back to back? Yes! I know, very shocking but as I mentioned before, I am trying to be a better blogger. So here goes nothing! 

I know this blog's catch phrase is "living our life adventure one Army post at a time," and nothing has really changed about that. My husband is still in the Army, and we still live where the Army tells us to, and for the better part of the past two years, that has been upstate New York. Currently though I am living in Northern Virginia while my sweet husband is deployed to Afghanistan.  I miss him a whole bunch but that means I get to send him care packages!!! 

Valentine's Day Package

The bright side of deployments has to be the care packages! I love putting them together! The whole experience from thinking of a theme, to going to the stores, decorating the box (my husband's favorite part!), and then even going to the post office to send it off.  I actually believe that I may get more joy out of creating a care package to send to my hubby then when he actually receives it in the mail. It also takes about two weeks for it to get there, so it takes a lot for me not to spill the beans on what is inside the fun care packages I send! I am not a good secret keeper, especially when I know it is something he will love!

 

One of Shaun's favorite holidays is St.Patrick's Day, so naturally I had to send him a St. Patty's Day theme box for him. I sent him some fun decorations for his room, and some wee sized party hats! I even decorated the box that I sent to him. The decorations on the box were a little bit more out there, than my Valentine's day decorated box, but hey it's just showing my love for him from 6,000 miles away!!!!
