Baseball Game: Take Two!

Yes, you are reading that correctly! I have gone to two baseballs games in one week! I mean how could you pass up on $2 dollar Tuesday night tickets and a night out with these ladies!

Plus while the hubby is away, I can help him keep up  to date with one of his all time loves! In case you didn't know my husband, Shaun, is a HUGE baseball fan! He was born and raised in Philadelphia, and is a die-hard, Phillies fan!

He has even sort of converted me over to the dark side, I mean to rooting for the Phillies. I mostly go to games to people watch and for the food! And of course I mean watch the game. We even have matching Phillie shirts, so I am not sure what that says about us...:)

The other month or so I was at our local coffee shop, Caribou, having coffee with a friend when I noticed a man who had the following book: The Ultimate Baseball Road Trip, 2nd: A Fan's Guide to Major League Stadiums.

I went home that day and ordered him a copy of the book and had it shipped over immediately.  I am not sure I was thinking clearly that day, as I now see every vacation from here on out somehow involving a trip to some baseball stadium.  I guess I only have myself to blame!

Ever since I started up this blog again, my husband has been joking with me that he is going to start up his own blog, primarily a sports related themed blog. He even sent his take and reviews on the eats at The National's Park. Here are a few of his highlights from his email:

"Jammin` Island BBQ-  While you are attending the nationals and hopefully they are losing at this time I'm just kidding, no I'm not.  You can relive what we had in Jamaica this stand which is located in center-field sells a jerk chicken and ribs combo which will leave you breathless and asking for more."

"Of course my favorite section on this page is the drink section and the day would not be complete at the old ball yard without a brew am I right or am I right can I get an AMEN."

"Change-up chicken-  You'll thank me later the food quality is like truck-stop quality.  ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.  NOT CHICK FIL-A QUALITY."

"Philadelphia Italian hoagies-  Yes I know I'm from Philly and I'm putting this a thumbs down.  If you want the real deal we can get one from the BEST city in the world PHILADELPHIA.  Don't waste your time.  Hey sweetheart WAWA makes better hoagies."
"Well I hope you take my advice and enjoy the selections that I have provided and remember ENJOY THE BALLGAME.  NATIONALS SUCK!!!!!!!!""

Ps EAT YOUR HEART OUT CAROLINE'S CHRONICALS  :))))))))))) .

Can you tell my husband is not a National's fan? He is like I said, a true diehard Phillies fan, and all in all a true Philadelphia lover!  He also has this crazy notion that he would get more readers then me if he started a blog...he's a silly boy! :)  Well I hope you enjoyed his little reviews, and you never know maybe Shaun will make some more guest posts in the future here on this blog!

Hugs,

Caroline
