Carthage!

Carthage, New York. is my new town! Actually to be more exact, Village. Yes, I have moved to a little country Village! It's sort of cute and quaint in it's own little way, but not as quaint as the little English village that is featured in the movie The Holiday (if you are sitting there and reading this, and haven't seen this movie, you really need to do yourself a favor and watch it!)

Any who, back to Carthage, and for those out wondering where the heck is Carthage, it is in upstate  (and I mean UPSTATE) New York. I live about 85 miles north of Syracuse, and 30 miles south of the Canadian boarder.  And for all those out there who are like oh well at least you live near NYC, I don't. Sadly. I live about 5.5 hours actually away from the big apple. Who knew that you all would get a wonderful geography lesson with today's blog post.

I also live near Lake Ontario, so you know what that means...Lake Effect Snow! If you know me at all, you know that I am not really a snow person. But I have decided that with an average of 120 inches or so a year of snow, I need to embrace the snow. Luckily this year, they have had a very mild winter in terms of snow fall, and I am hoping that it continues!

I will leave you all with two pictures of my new home! I am hoping to give you all a house tour in a few upcoming blog posts, so you will feel right at home as well in Carthage, New York!

Snow! This amount I can handle. Also this is my neighbor's car and a view of my townhouse community. I will try to do better with my picture taking skills as I continue this blog. Bear with me!

AND this is our townhouse! And my tree! I am very proud that I have a tree, not everyone get's a tree! Like the green shutters??? Everyone has green shutters so I can't really claim that as my own design style, but you take what you can get!

Hugs,

Caroline
