Weekend Recap!

Okay, Okay, I have been very bad with blogging lately! I know we are now almost to  another weekend, and I am now just finally getting around to post, but I do have a little bit of an excuse....I had to finish a 15 page research paper for school by Sunday night!

When I was not working on the above mentioned paper (I had not written one that long in a while...I was out of practice!)  Shaun and I checked out a local winery, The Tug Hill Vineyards.

It was their opening weekend, and they were offering free wine tastings and food pairings.  They had five different wines to try, and they were all pretty good!  I was surprised that the wines were not all that sweet, due to the temperatures in this area that the grapes are grown in.

The winery is only 15 miles from our house and offers Sunday Brunch, as well as Wine Down Thursdays in the Summer where they feature bands, wine, beer and a way to start off the weekend! I can't wait to go back again, and experience the sun set over the Adirondack Mountains that the winery overlooks in the distance!

I also took another break from my paper, and went and saw The Hunger Games! I have not yet read the books, but I thought the movie was pretty good. I need to now get the books and read them!   So who has read the books and seen the movie? Did I make a tragic mistake by seeing the movie before reading the books?

Hugs,

Caroline

  1. YAY for the Hunger Games!!! I think that anybody who has seen the movie can totally still enjoy the books after seeing the movie! There's more to the book than they show in the movie, as usual! and there are two more books to read and see where the story goes! You know how passionately I feel about the Hunger Games!!!! <3 <3

Sounds like a lovely time at the winery!
