Weekend Recap: Birthday, Games and Mexican!

Happy Monday!!! How was your weekend? Did you have a good one? Mine was great, but I can't believe that it is already over! Monday came way too fast in my opinion, but I think that is always the case when you have had a good weekend.  My brother and sister-in-law came down to visit for the weekend for my Omi Ann's 86th Birthday, which was on Sunday.

Friday night we all hung out around my parent's house and had a seafood fest. Lobsters, Shrimp, and even had some lobster bisque. We all went to bed that night with full bellies dreaming of the sea.

Saturday I got a lovely surprise from my sweet husband!

He sent me a lovely bouquet of flowers all the way from Afghanistan. Even though it was a dreary, cold day this warmed up my heart!

Saturday night some friends came over, and we had a game night. We ended up playing a round of  The Big Bang Theory Trivia.

This game is a lot harder than it looks! I watch The Big Bang Theory and all, but I learned that I really don't pay that close attention or there are some really superfans out there (they are the ones who made up and submitted the questions to the game maker)!  We then played this game:

Word to the wise, don't play this game on an empty stomach! It's a fun trivia game, that we played in teams and you will learn so much more about all your favorite snacks, cookies, ice cream, chocolate, and desserts. Plus just make you hungry for them all too!

Sunday was my Omi's 86th Birthday! Omi lives in a retirement home, and requested that we all go out for Mexican because they usually don't serve Mexican for dinner at her retirement home. If you know me, you know I was all in for Mexican food! We went to one of our local favorite Mexican joints, El Paso.

My Aunt and Uncle came down from Baltimore and we all had a great lunch celebrating Omi!

My brother, Brant and his wife, Anne, were also able to stay for lunch!

Yeah, I know the picture is sideways, but it will not let me change it for the life of me, so for now I am giving up! Just turn your heads!

All in all, it was a great weekend! Hope everyone else had a good one!

Hugs,

Caroline
